Q.  For the readers that haven't heard about or your books, can you let us know a
little about you?
A.  My name is Sydney Aaliyah Michelle. I am a New Adult Contemporary Romance
writer, a voracious reader and movie fanatic who hails from Texas.
After surviving 5 1/2 years living in China, I found the courage to finally pursue my
passion and become a writer.

Q. What genre do you write? Have you thought of writing any other genre? If so,
which genre?
 A. I also write adult contemporary and  dark, but all in the romance genre.

Q. Do you have any strange ritual or habits while writing?
A. I don’t know how strange my ritual is, but I do have to listen to the same song at
the beginning of each writing session. It’s different for different stories, but on day
one of word one, I pick one song and start every sessions with that song or the
words don’t flow. I guess it’s kind of weird.

Q. How did you come up with the title of your books?
A. I like to create original titles, but I don’t fully commit to a title until I start
marketing the book. I think everyone one of my titles started with another title then
it ended up with. The title of my latest series took a while to come about, but not all
three titles and catch phrases worked perfect together and perfect for the story.

Q. What was your family's first reaction when they heard you published your first
book? What was your reaction?
A.  My family was completely shocked. I started writing seriously while still living in
China, so they had no clue what I was up to. Eighteen months after moving back, I
self published my debut novel. I don’t think they believed me until they saw it on the
Amazon website.

Q. What is the hardest thing about being an author?
A.  I think the hardest thing is finding time to write all the stories that are rolling
around in my head. Unfortunately, writers don’t just get to write. We have to write,
edit, promote, and schedule. I still have to find time to work full time and have a
social life. Balancing it all has been a challenge.

Q.What is the best thing about writing?
A.  The best thing about being a writer is hearing from one of my readers that the
story touched them in some way. My favorite reviews are the ones that evoke
emotions, good or bad, in my readers. I would write even if no one bought my books,
but I am so grateful that people related to my books.

Q. Are you currently working on any new projects? If so, Can you tell us a little
about it?
A.  I am finishing up the final edits on book #2 of The Hope Series, Hope for Him. It is
schedule for publication on December 8th, 2014. Book #3, Hope for Us is in the works
and I hope will be published in March 2015.
I also have a plan to publish another series by the end of 2015, but I can’t talk about
it, yet.

Q. If you had to choose a favourite character from one of your books, who would it
be and why?
A.  In my current series, the male main character, Jackson Latre Mitchell is my
favorite. He is an amazing guy, but he’s still a guy. He has some challenges and some
a—hole tendencies, but deep down he is a guy in love and he wants to do the right
thing.

Q.  How can readers get in contact with you or find out more about your books?
A.  I love hearing from readers. If you want to get in touch with me, you can reach
