Q. What is your writing process like?
A.. I like to outline the basic storyline to get the highlights before I start a project. When I sit down to write, I think about where I think the story is going to go and then I just let the story unfold. I love it when my characters surprise me and take the story somewhere totally unexpected.
Hmmm… why do I like to start with an outline? 

Q. Where is your favorite place to write?
A. I love to write in the brown lazy-boy chair in my living room with my laptop propped on a pillow in my lap and a faux fur blanket wrapped around me. So comfy!

Q. Do you ever get writer’s block? Any tips on how to work past it?
A. Absolutely! I have found that I simply cannot write a book in chronological order. If I am blocked in one part, I skip to another that’s flowing and come back to the problematic area later.

Q. Who are some of your favorite authors?
A. I am a huge book addict! This is such a hard question. If I had to pick my top ten favorites right now, they would be Harper Sloan, RL Mathewson, Kristen Ashley, Aurora Rose Reynolds, Abbi Glines, J Kenner, Sandi Lynn, Katy Evans, Kristen Proby and Laurelin Paige.

Q. What inspired you to write PUSH THE ENVELOPE?
A. I was actually working on a different project that I thought would be my debut when my teenage son mentioned a Huffington Post article about a charter company in Ohio that offers Mile High Flights. It stuck in my brain and just wouldn’t go away! Somehow that connected to memories of some of my fellow students back in the day who used to fly out of the small, local airport near my college. The next thing I knew, I was writing Push the Envelope!

Q. Tell us a little about your hero/heroine.
a. Alexa is a college student paying her way at school by piloting her father's
planes and offering Mile High Club charter flights. She grew up in the
cockpit and plans to follow in her dad’s footsteps after she gets her
business degree. She is a little sassy and definitely isn’t afraid to speak up
for herself.

b. Drake is a cocky rugby player who just transferred to her school. He

belongs to the same fraternity as her best friend’s brother. He's never been
that interested in getting serious with anyone, and girls flock to him like
crazy. When he sees Alexa, he's determined to get to know her better –
even despite her resistance.

Q. What do you have coming up next?
A. Next up is Hit the Wall. It is the second book in the Blythe College series
and will focus on Jackson’s story. After that, I think there will be a novella
followed by Outside the Box which is Aubrey’s story.

Blurb:
Alexa is just your average college junior, attending classes and piloting Mile
High Club charter flights. Boys haven't been on her radar for a couple years after a
disastrous breakup with her high school sweetheart. Her plans to focus on school hit a bit
of a snag when she meets bad-boy Drake Bennett and he sets his sights on making her his
own.
Drake transferred to Blythe College for the rugby team, not for a new assortment of
college girls. He's sexy and cocky, and he attracts women like moths to a flame. When he
meets Alexa, Drake knows he's met his match. She tries to resist him, but Drake isn't
used to taking no for an answer.

This does not have a cliffhanger.

I absolutely adore reading - always have and always will. My friends growing up used to tease me when I would trail after them, trying to read and walk at the same time. If I have downtime, odds are you will find me reading or writing.

I am the mother of two wonderful sons who have inspired me to chase my dream of being an author. I want them to learn from me that you can live your dream as long as you are willing to work for it.

When I told my mom that my new year's resolution was to self-publish a book in 2013, she pretty much told me "About time!"
