BLOG TOUR~ #HATER by CAMBRIA HEBERT

Title: #Hater
Series: The Hashtag Series #2
Author: Cambria Hebert
Genre: NA Contemp/College Romance
Release Date: January 12, 2015

It started with unspoken animosity. The bitter bite of jealousy. And now its full blown hate.

It was during my first football game that I first felt the first chill of hate. I looked it right in the eyes and felt its sticky tentacles reach out for me. I’d never experienced something so cold and empty before.

The effect of that look lingered, like an unspoken promise, long after it was gone.

Becoming a couple – becoming the other half of a campus celebrity wasn’t easy. I let down walls guarding my heart and he looked past my glasses and accident prone tendencies. Romeo and I are an unlikely match, a #nerd and a jock. But we made it.

And we’re happy.

Zach doesn’t want us to be happy. He wants Romeo to pay for getting him kicked out of Omega and for the night he spent in jail. He’s going to use anything and everything he can to get his revenge. Including me.

As the weather on campus grows cold and the days become dark, revenge becomes the center of someone’s life and the happiness Romeo and I worked so hard for is threatened.

I can’t help but worry that our love is going to be overshadowed by hate.

“It’s not your job to protect me, Romeo.”

“You’re wrong.” I said, my voice leaving no room for argument. “It is and I will.”

“You’re my boyfriend. Not my bodyguard.” Her words were annoyed and I felt something behind them. But before I could question her she kept going. “He was just being a jerk. I tried to walk away and he stopped me. If I hadn’t fought against him I probably wouldn’t have a bruise at all.”

I felt my eyes narrow as I spoke dangerously low. “Are you saying it’s your fault Zach treated you this way?”

Letting her take any responsibility for this was something I would not allow.

She sighed. “I’m saying your being a drama queen.”

I laughed and raised my eyebrow. “Do I look like a woman to you?”

A fine pink blush spread across her cheekbones. “No.”

I took her face in my hands and tilted it up so I could stare into her eyes. “Listen to me. My reacting to someone putting their hands on you is not me being dramatic, it’s me loving you.”

“Oh, Romeo,” she sighed my name and my cock hardened.

I pulled her into my chest and wrapped my arms around her. “Being an asshole is just part of my charm, baby.” I said matter of fact, unable to keep the smile out of my voice. “This is just me loving you.”

“You love real good,” she mumbled against my chest, pushing a little closer.

I palmed the back of her head, holding her tight. It scared me how much I loved her sometimes. Just like the anger I’d felt just moments ago scared me. It was raw and intense. It almost bordered on hate.

And all of it. Every single flame of that animosity was directed at one man.

 My  Review

#HATER by Cambria Herbert
5 out of 5 stars
What an amazing way to start out the New Year. When I read #nerd I fell in love with Romeo and Rimmel.  When I finished #HATER my love for them grew as much as their love did. This book was filled with so much hate that was directed towards Rimmel and Romeo but they stayed strong and stuck it out together.
One thing I loved about Rimmel in the first book was how strong she was.  She was just as strong in this book as she was in #NERD. She never let anyone change her. She keeps her head high and doesn’t let the hate affect her. She fights for her relationship with Romeo and never gives up.
Romeo is just as charming as he was in #NERD. I loved how much he shows his love for Rimmel. You can feel the protectiveness he has for her. His character was written well and you could feel all the feelings and worrying that he was feeling.
Another character I fell in love with and that is Braeden. His character was amazing not only did he have Romeo’s back he had Rimmels back. He was such an easy character to love and fall for. I hope we get his story.
One thing I like about Cambria Herbert writing is that she has a way of making you feel like you are a part of the story. Once I picked up the book I was not able to put it down. I devoured every page of #Hater wanting more Romeo and Rimmel.  I can’t wait until book three comes out.
