This is Love, Baby
by K. Webster
War & Peace #2
Publication Date: March 29, 2016
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Dark Romance
My War was over and I had lost. My captor reminded me I was nothing more than his pawn. His strategy never changed…it was always me. But what he didn’t know was that LOVE always wins. In my War, I’d found not only peace but LOVE as well. I’d been through a battlefield with my War and LOVE was what brought us to the other side. Our LOVE was beautiful and pure. Undying. My captor thinks he has won this war. That I will LOVE him. What he doesn’t know is this time, I’m the one with a strategy. I’m always thinking several moves ahead of him, my War taught me that. I will outsmart him and find peace again. This is a war I will win. My LOVE will conquer all.
Warning:
This is Love, Baby is a dark romance. Strong sexual themes and violence which could trigger emotional distress are found in this story. Terrible, terrible things happen to our poor heroine, so you’ve been properly warned. This story is NOT for everyone.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is Love, Baby is book #2 in the War and Peace series by Author K. Webster. This cannot be read as a standalone so if you are checking out this review please go ahead and read book #1 (This is War, Baby).
After finishing book #1, Author K. Webster left me with so many questions and so many emotions about the main characters. Starting This is Love, Baby. I was ready for my answers!!! I was ready for the cards to drop and the war to start.
Did Author K. Webster deliver?
She delivered so much more than I was expecting.
I kept thinking at the start of this book that I could predict how the story would end. But boy was I left with my foot in my mouth. This is Love, Baby was filled with twists and turns and people that I was rooting for in book #1 wasn’t necessarily my favorite in this book. This was like watching a great motion picture unfold. I was literally scared reading some pages, I kept waiting for the author to stab me in the heart but what I got I was pleasantly surprised.
Overall, the pace of the story was great. The characters were great and their journeys were one that was twisted and a little sick. How the author comes up with the story line is beyond me but damn she is good. The end of the book I was completely turn off my chair. I should have known better lol.
