****My Review****

 

Elizabeth Reilly Hayden is having a hard time coming to terms with  the cuts her workplace has to make. Genuinely, she cares for the employees of the company however she will soon learn that the company has no loyalty to anyone including her. After shocking news, Elizabeth is forced to go out and compete with people half her age and in addition she is struggling with her relationship with her partner Sam. While she is trying to figure out her next move in life and where Sam and her relationship stands “Bam” tragedy strikes her little group.

 

I really enjoyed the journey that Judith Marshall took me on. There were flashbacks into the past of these 6 girlfriends who are now in their mid 50's. I loved that the flashbacks help to show how their friendships were formed and what kept them connected.

  

Overall, this was my first book in reading a group of woman around this age and I must say that the author does an excellent job in engaging the reader throughout the story. I felt like I was apart of their trips down memory lane, I felt their lost and also appreciated their commitment towards one another.  As Elizabeth tries to understand what happens we are taken on a unforgettable journey which included second chances and lots of fun and laughter.

I would definitely recommend this book and if you are a fan of the YAYA sisterhood or even the TV show 'Girlfriends' then you would love this book.
