“What are you thinking?” he mumbles, his large frame still pinning me to the mattress, his face buried in the spot low on my neck he seems to like. “That I feel safe,” I tell him, surprised at my own conclusion. “In more than one way, actually,” I add. “I’m not sure how long it’s been, maybe I never had it, but I’m not scared of the future anymore. Or of letting myself feel.” Dino pushes up on his elbows, all his attention focused on my face as I smile. “I admit that for a while last night I wasn’t so sure, but that disappeared when I saw you waiting for me. I’m grateful for your words but I didn’t need them. Trust is not something I easily give, but I trust you.” “Thank you.” His lips move against mine before he lifts away. “I was an ass and it had little to do with you. It was the realization I was failing as a parent.” A sharp shake of his head cuts off the protest that was forming on my lips. “I wasn’t watching Gina. I was too preoccupied with other things to notice she was slipping. Last night was a knee jerk reaction. I have to get used to sharing things again. I haven’t been able to do that in a long time. It was always just easier to deal with things myself. I should’ve talked to you.” “Stop.” I cover his mouth with my fingers. “Enough of the self-recriminations. Lord knows we both have a knack for those. I still struggle with the what-ifs. I don’t want to do that with you. Don’t want to have regrets of any kind, and the only way to do that is to be completely open. Give you all of me, warts and all. All I want in return is to trust that when we hit the inevitable bumps in the road, you’ll have my back, just as I have yours.” Dino’s beautiful brown eyes turn liquid as I watch him swallow hard. “Always.” His gruff voice cracks on the single word as he rolls off me and swings his legs over the side of the bed. I watch the muscles in his ass flex as he makes his way to the bathroom. Nice view. One I wouldn’t mind enjoying the rest of my life. My thoughts grind to a halt. Am I really considering that? The rest of my life?

Review ~ Inked Babies: The Inked Brotherhood Epilogue by Jo Raven

Five brothers in all but blood, five girls who love them, emerging from a past fraught with darkness and danger. There are wedding bells, and baby cries and laughter all around. They have found their happy ending.
Only one cloud is marring these blue skies, and it has to do with Zane, the rock of the Brotherhood. Nobody knows exactly what is wrong, but here’s the thing, folks:
There are five of us, and we stand all for one and one for all. If you messed with one of us, you’ve messed with all of us. We protect our own.
And Zane is more than one of our own. He’s our leader. He’s our steady center. If our center shatters, we all shatter.
This Brotherhood is strong. We’re gonna find out what troubles him and put it to rest, once and for all, bury it, stomp on it, crush it until it’s fixed or gone.
Time we celebrated our happy ending.

This is the epilogue to Inked Brotherhood.
Best read after the series Inked Brotherhood and its spin-off Damage Control.

5 Big Shiny Stars *****

I was lucky to receive an ARC of this amazing book in return for an honest review.

How to write a review that explains, properly, how much I love these Inked boys, their ladies and babies. And now we will have some new boys to love and watch growing up. There really are no words for how much i love Jo Ravens books.  I think that this book is grittier than any others of this series. Jo really did torture our poor Zane and so all her readers.  Zane is the head of this brotherhood and when his family see him down it brings them all down as well. This book is written in the POV of each of our couples.  I really loved this as we really see all the personalities, their love and their fears for the family.  We watch each couple battle their own personal problems while trying to ensure their leader and his family know they are their for them and they WILL protect them at all costs.

This Epilogue was ( for want of a better word) EPIC. It is sad to see the end to one of my favourite series but I know now there is more to come and we will see them in the future. Thank you Jo Raven for making this ending brilliant.

Excerpt

“Why’d you push me earlier?”

“It’s not important.”

But it was. She felt it in her chest. It was so important, and she needed him to say it again. She was salivating for the chance. She wanted to reassure him, and this time she felt it in her heart. She knew she wasn’t going anywhere. She wanted him to see it in her eyes, that she meant every single word.

She whispered now, “Ask me. Ask me again.”

His eyes met hers, narrowing slightly. He was looking into her, reading her.

She was letting him. There was no wall, no hesitation this time. She wanted him to know her, not just her body. All of her. A second passed. He was still searching in her. Another second. More. He waited a full thirty before asking, his voice so soft and tender, “What would you do if you found out another person cared about you? If you mattered to one more person?”

“Nothing.” She was trying to convey her feelings through her eyes. She wanted him to know so badly. “I wouldn’t run. I wouldn’t walk. I wouldn’t hide. I’d do nothing except stand and embrace it.”

His eyes darkened, an emotion passed in them, one that had her heart beating so fast again. “Yeah?” He let go of her hand, but touched the side of her face. He held her in the palm of his hand, and his thumb rubbed over her cheek. It was like he was smoothing away any lingering worries she might have. “What if I was that person?”

She leaned toward him, her eyes going from his lips back to his gaze. Both were pulling her in, making her yearn for more. “Then I’d say, I feel the same.” Her breath held in her throat. They were talking in code, but it was out now. She was telling him how she felt, and a second later, his lips were on hers.

This. She turned, wound her arms around his neck. This was everything.

RELEASE DAY BLITZ~ Kismet( Endgame Series #2) by Leigh Ann Lunsford

Release Day Blitz
Title: Kismet
Series: Endgame Series #2
Author: Leigh Ann Lunsford
Release Day: November 21, 2016

Synopsis:
kismet (noun)
~ a power that is believed to control what happens in the future

Brody Collier disappeared without saying goodbye. It was for the best—he was everything I was avoiding. The regimented Air Force lifestyle, the way his love made me weak, discarding me in the end . . . like my choices didn’t matter.

Emberlee Winchester appeared in my life, and I didn’t have a chance. She was everything I wanted— just at the wrong time. I had to break her heart so she could find her own way. I always planned to come back for her, but making her mine was a greater feat than I expected.

Blowing my life apart wasn’t my intent. Weaving it back together was my biggest challenge.

Her friends hate her. Her father disappoints her. Her fight is waning. It’s the perfect time for me to win her over— or so I thought.

Our struggles bring us together. Neither of us have a choice.

Goodreads TBR:

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review

This is the second book in the Endgame series. After reading Playing Fate, I didn't think that I would love this book. Kismet tells the story of Emberlee and Brody. Emberlee was not my favorite person in Playing Fate. Seriously how could one person be so evil!!!

I will admit that Leigh Ann always make me feel when reading any of her books. I love that she is able to convey her words and make me feel like I am a part of the story. I loved that Leigh Ann made me like Emberlee even if I really really don’t want to.

With Kismet, I got to see a side of Emberlee which was confused and scared girl. Based on book #1 she seemed like a person that was so sure in her skin.

Brody was absolutely delicious. Seriously, this author knows how to write a male lead and Brody was no exception. Brody is an military guy who after years of breaking Emberlee’s heart wants what he once had. I won’t give too much away because you have to read the story but trust me when I say you will like it.

Overall, Kismet had a good pace. This book will make you mad at times but in the end the love that each character showed makes you fall right back in love with them. I enjoyed how well the story was tied together along with your occasional drama.

A really good read :)
