Tillie Cole is an author that I know will bring tons of emotion with a beautiful book…and she blew me away with Souls Unfractured. I’ve been so excited for this book since we were introduced to Flame and Maddie. We got to have a peek into the two characters’ lives in the last book (Heart Recaptured), and these two have really been to Hell and back.

Flame is the mysterious Hangman. He’s always been the guy I wanted to know more about and I’m so happy he got his book…and Maddie. I’ve always been a little more interested in Flame, questioning why he’s different than his brothers. He’s angrier than the rest, more violent and he can’t be touched by anyone. Not even the people he trust most.

Maddie is not an easily trusting women, much like Flame. Maddie grew up in the same religious cult as her two sisters from the two previous books. Maddie had to live with some of the most violent, ruthless men and because of that she has a very hard time trusting any man.
With the exception of Flame.
He is the one man she has been able to put her trust in, because he’s the man that saved her.

Both Flame and Maddie feel this pull towards each, trust in each other, but neither of them knows if they can trust each other. I loved watching Flame and Maddie become stronger by each other’s side. I loved that they had so much to overcome, and did so together. It was a beautiful and emotional story, but so worth all the tears you’ll shed.

Tillie Cole is a Northern girl through and through. She originates from a place called Teesside on

that little but awesomely sunny (okay I exaggerate) Isle called Great Britain. She was brought up

surrounded by her English rose mother — a farmer’s daughter, her crazy Scottish father, a

savagely sarcastic sister and a multitude of rescue animals and horses.
