I crawled into Ryan Jensen’s bed that first night by accident.
I barely knew him. I thought it was his sister’s bed—her room. It took seconds to realize my error, and I should've left...
I didn’t.
I didn’t jump out.
I didn’t get embarrassed.
I relaxed.
And that night, in that moment, it was the only thing I craved.
I asked to stay. He let me, and I slept.
The truth? I never wanted to leave his bed. If I could've stayed forever, I would have.
He became my sanctuary.
Because—four hours earlier—my twin sister killed herself.

Wow I love Tijan's books, I have since the first time I picked up Fallen Crest and I feel they only get better but with this book she truly has out done herself. This book really touches on a subject that, well to be honest, could be taken badly by some readers. Suicide. I think that this is still a bit of a Taboo subject for a lot of people and they don't like to talk about it but isn't it important for this to be discussed?? Is it not important to bring this to light...to try to get people to talk?? And for those left behind is it not important to bring this to light for them, for their mental and physical health? Ryan's bed really makes you think about things.
I don't want to go into to many details and ruin the book but it was amazing, an emotional rollercoaster. Mackenzie is such a beautiful girl and the hardest time in her life she was let down by her parents. She has so many things taken from her and so many things going on in her head and she was trying to deal as best she could. Ryan was a saving grace for her. He helped her heal when she didn't have anyone else to turn too. He gave her the strength to start to heal, and he loved her. I don't think I have ever been so utterly shocked by the last line in a book before but this one killed me. I was a blubbering mess and I loved it even more. It put so many things into perspective.
This is a must read for everyone that enjoys Tijan books.
