Book Review ~ Flirty Thirty by Cassie Mae

Flirty Thirty
by Cassie Mae

Maya never expected to get kissed when she walked out in her ratty old hoodie (and nothing else) to get the mail. But when a shirtless god jogs down your street, grabs your face, and kisses you… you kiss that man back!

Cooper is on a mission to find the love of his life, and he’s gotten desperate. Over thirty years old with more money than he could spend in his lifetime, he’s ready to spoil and love his soul mate. After hiring the beautiful woman he kissed on the street as his realtor, he’s convinced that fate has led him to her.

Maya doesn’t buy into fate and definitely doesn’t want something serious. She’s not ready to become one of her baggy-eyed friends who all have two or more kids and one or less husband. But when Cooper challenges her to a week of living the married life, Maya dives in headfirst thinking she’s sure to prove that singlehood is really the way to go, even if she does end up falling head over heels.

Wow...what a hard review to write without giving away spoilers. In advance i'm sorry if some of this doesn't make sense but maybe it will when you have the pleasure of reading the story. This is another of Cassie Mae's book that i can seriously relate to and I loved every second of reading it. There may be a small spoiler so just be aware.

I find that this author is amazing at writing books which cover excellent topics which normal woman can relate to and this one did not disappoint. Being 35 nearly 36 and not having any of my own kids I completely understood where Maya was coming from. The personal questions, lack of understanding and sometimes disgust from other people is horrible and there has been a time or two that i have gotten into heated fights over my choices. Now when people ask I get defensive immediately even if i don't mean too. I have never tried for children and probably never will so i don't know if i can actually have them but I know that if i was told i couldn't it would still upset me because, well, at the moment i still have the option if i do change my mind.

I may have gone off topic so to move on, I loved Maya and Coopers story. It was well written and kept me enthralled from beginning to end. Thank you Cassie Mae for another winner :)

Cassie Mae is the author of a few hundred… okay, maybe not that many… books. Some of which became popular for their quirky titles, characters, and stories. She likes writing about nerds, geeks, the awkward, the fluffy, the short, the shy, the loud, the fun.

Since publishing her bestselling debut, Reasons I Fell for the Funny Fat Friend, she has published and sold books to Random House, Swoon Romance, and is the founder of CookieLynn Publishing Services. She is represented by Sharon Pelletier at Dystel and Goderich Literary Management. She has a favorite of all her book babies, but no, she won’t tell you what it is. (Mainly because it changes depending on the day.)

Along with writing, Cassie likes to binge watch Once Upon A Time and The Flash. She can quote Harry Potter lines quick as a whip. And she likes kissing her hubby, but only if his facial hair is trimmed. She also likes cheesecake to a very obsessive degree.
